HOCHTIEF Insurance Broking and Risk Management Solutions:

The insurance broking company insures project risks across the Group over the life cycle of infrastructure projects, properties and facilities. Our clients as well as owners and end users are also insured against risks such as fire and breakdown through HOCHTIEF Insurance policies on a project-specific basis. The company also manages the Group's own reinsurers.

HOCHTIEF ViCon

This company markets HOCHTIEF's expertise in the area of virtual planning and construction site workflows. In this process, all aspects of a building, facility or infrastructure project – such as technology, costs, timing and trades involved – are captured and a digital model of the building is created. With the help of ViCon, all those involved in the planning receive process-enhancing information over the entire project life cycle.

HOCHTIEF Airport Division

HOCHTIEF AirPort is among the leading international independent airport management companies. Its business portfolio now includes interests in Athens, Budapest, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Sydney and Tirana airports. These six airports handled a combined total of around 88.7 million passengers in 2007.

HOCHTIEF AirPort is special among airport management companies, blending proven practical expertise in operational and commercial airport management with innovative financing methods. As a shareholder, HOCHTIEF AirPort actively enhances the businesses it invests in and furthers their development. Closely coupled knowledge in aviation, non-aviation, master planning and financing disciplines ensures an integrated approach to airport operation. HOCHTIEF AirPort additionally markets its knowledge as an independent consultancy and transaction manager.

Paving the way for further profitable growth, HOCHTIEF AirPort teamed up with major investors in 2005 to establish HOCHTIEF AirPort Capital. The portfolio is to be expanded on a targeted basis with the emphasis on longterm investments.

HOCHTIEF Development Division

HOCHTIEF Development's businesses specialize in construction-related services for infrastructure projects, buildings and facilities.

HOCHTIEF PPP Solutions designs, finances, builds and operates infrastructure projects in the public building and transportation sectors on a public-private partnership basis.

HOCHTIEF Projektentwicklung provides integrated planning, development and marketing of large real estate projects such as hotel, office and residential buildings, urban developments and retail, logistics and transportation buildings across Europe. A major acquisition in the year under review – aurelis Real Estate – secured the company access to further attractive properties.

HOCHTIEF Property Management was launched in July 2007. Among the leading providers in the industry, the company manages real estate in a fiduciary capacity on behalf of investors to optimize their ROI. HOCHTIEF Property Management benefits from the asset management expertise of Deutsche Bau- und Siedlungs-Gesellschaft, which boasts many years' experience in managing and marketing large real estate portfolios.

HOCHTIEF Facility Management is a leading provider of facility management services in Europe. The company applies its integrated approach to buildings, properties, processes and facilities in a variety of industries.

Launched in 2007, HOCHTIEF Energy Management performs energy contracting in complement to the services of HOCHTIEF Facility Management. As one of the leading providers in this field in Germany, the company, for example, commits to supplying customers with energy at fixed prices or guarantees specific savings over a multi-year period.

HOCHTIEF Construction Services Americas Division

Americas division coordinates the activities of HOCHTIEF's companies in the US and Brazil.

Through its subsidiary Turner, HOCHTIEF is the leading general builder in the USA, the world's biggest construction market. Turner ranks among the top providers growth segments of education, healthcare and commercial building as well as in the green building sector. The company is increasingly active in services. Our subsidiary performs complex procurement services Turner projects and external clients through Turner Logistics. This company has special expertise in the growing hospital equipment sector.

November 2007, HOCHTIEF acquired Flatiron Construction, a leading US player in the infrastructure sector. This move will enable us to reinforce our activities in business segment with a promising future: public-private partnerships for infrastructure projects in the USA Canada.

Subsidiary HOCHTIEF do Brasil has been among the on the Brazilian construction market for several decades. Alongside building and infrastructure construction, the Brazilian company has offered facility management

HOCHTIEF Construction Services Asia
Pacific Division

HOCHTIEF leads the Australian market through its majority share in the Leighton Group. Leighton?s capabilities include building, infrastructure construction, mining and concessions, project development and industrial services.

Leighton spans the entire construction value chain with seven operational units: Leighton Contractors, Thiess, John Holland and Leighton Properties in Australia, plus Leighton Asia, Leighton International, and the new JV entity Al Habtoor Engineering in the Gulf region.

Leighton is systematically expanding its global leadership position as a mine operator and manager in contract mining as well as taking a top spot in the infrastructure and project development segments. With strong positioning in the Australian market, Leighton is stepping up its activities in selected Asian countries and in the Gulf region.

For instance, the TDIC-Leighton Contracting JV was established in Abu Dhabi at the end of the year under review. This newly formed joint venture will be engaged in building and infrastructure projects for the purpose of promoting tourism in the Gulf region.

HOCHTIEF Construction Services Europe
Division

The Europe division brings together HOCHTIEF?s expertise in its core building business under the leadership of HOCHTIEF Construction. This includes building construction, civil and structural engineering in selected European countries such as Germany, the UK, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Russia. HOCHTIEF Construction also provides project management services outside of Europe.

The division has focused increasingly in recent years on promising segments such as healthcare facilities, hotels, offices and other commercial properties, plus refurbishment, upgrading and residential construction. Its range of capabilities is supplemented by infrastructure projects including airports, marine ports, tunnels and bridges.

HOCHTIEF Construction provides preconstruction, construction and post-construction services, with comprehensive service packages extending from building diagnosis and location analysis through to real estate development. HOCHTIEF Construction undertakes a large share of its building work using partnership-based business models such as PreFair.
